Mathematics: A Student Reference

Wherever you go to and whatever you see around you, mathematics is all around us. The arts, sciences, culture, music, environment, people and everything else that you could see, hear and touch would involve some form of mathematics in one way or another. So this blog is dedicated for students at all levels who want to use this as a reference about mathematics as a subject or course in school. So why is mathematics important for students and why should students study it?

Mathematics is important because it is one of the most widely used subjects in the world regardless of the educational level of a student. The subject area of mathematical development is taught to nursery school students at an early age, mathematics is an area of learning that is an essential part of the programme of education from the start of primary school until the end of secondary school. In the tertiary education level, mathematics is an important part because it is widely discussed and used in vocational or technical education and training while math is commonly used in the undergraduate and postgraduate education levels under higher education.

Whether an individual is a nursery school student learning the basics of counting and numbers or a university student taking up a course in statistics, the process of learning and studying mathematics would always continue because it helps in developing and stimulating the mind.
